The instrument
Seven plies of maple, cut to a 45° edge and wrapped in a lacquer deep enough to see yourself in. We tune every Undertow low and slightly open, the way it sounds best in a small room at a reasonable hour. Hand-hammered bronze cymbals sit on top: a dark ride, a fast crash, hats that whisper or bark.
